Overview

Keeping workplaces safe is both a legal and moral obligation, with severe consequences if local health and safety laws are not followed. This course covers essential health and safety workplace practices and provides an understanding of the responsibilities of both employers and employees. It looks at the benefits of good health and safety, typical hazards and how to reduce workplace accidents, near misses and ill-health, together with an overview of risk assessments and the importance of reporting.

Assessment

Multiple choice exam.

Duration

1 day. The next course will run on Wednesday 22nd January 2025 from 9am to 5pm.

Certification

Highfield Level 2 Award in Health & Safety within the Workplace.

Cost

£75 plus VAT (includes lunch and refreshments).

Venue

NLTG’s Vocational Centres of Excellence or other venues across the North West. Numbers permitting, this course can be delivered on company premises.
