Job Type:  Full time/Permanent

Salary:      Up to £40,000 + benefits including bonus, company car, healthcare, enhanced pension and other advantages.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join a top-quality Training Provider with a proven track record in the delivery of Apprenticeships and work-based training to a wide range of clients, both locally and regionally.

We are keen to accelerate our growth by employing a Business Development Manager with a proven track record in gaining results.

You will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the business’s sales strategy, and for identifying and building new business opportunities. Ambitious and driven, you will provide high levels of customer service and use your skills and experience to support the achievement of individual and team targets.

Working as part of a team, your key responsibilities will include:

  • managing a team of employer engagement/business development professionals securing new business opportunities through active engagement with current/sourcing new employers (predominantly across the North West and Yorkshire), to promote Apprenticeships, Study Programme, work-based training programmes and commercial courses.
  • conducting high-level industry research to develop effective sales solutions.
  • attending appointments with employers/potential learners, to provide up-to-date information regarding NLTG programmes and associated funding.
  • assessing individual employer requirements and selecting the most appropriate training solutions to meet their business need.
  • actively implementing new sales strategies and initiatives.
  • remaining up to date regarding programmes, Government funding and initiatives.
  • liaising with a range of internal departments and personnel.
  • using bespoke management information systems to manage/track employer and engagement activities.
  • dealing with sensitive, private and confidential information in a professional manner and adhering to GDPR legislation.

The successful applicant will:

    • be able to demonstrate a dynamic approach to business development.
    • have a track record of generating and implementing innovative ideas for business development.
    • have a proven track record of commercially delivering against challenging sales targets with the ability to build and lead strong sales performance across the various programmes.
    • be responsible for driving strategic growth and developing our clients portfolio of highly satisfied employers, stakeholders and learners.
    • have experience of building/maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of businesses and stakeholders.
    • have a track record of generating new customer accounts whilst nurturing relationships with current stakeholders/employers.
    • have excellent interpersonal/verbal/written communication skills.
    • have excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
    • have a high level of client focus, empathy and understanding and be a team player.
    • be adaptable and enjoy working in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
    • be dedicated to outstanding customer service and continuous improvement.
    • be able to work effectively with personnel across the organisation.
    • have excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new packages.
