NLTG World Book Day 2024 Competition – Winner Revealed!

This year for World Book Day 2024, we hosted a short story writing competition for our Apprenticeship, Study Programme and Job Centre learners and what a response we had. We received so many fantastic entries, with learners demonstrating their incredible creativity and writing skills, making it extremely hard to choose a winner.

We had such as good time reading the competition entries and after a lot of thought, announced our winner to be Madison Johnston.  Madison works at Sundown Solutions and has recently passed her Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with NLTG achieving a distinction. Her short story called ‘The Final Message’ contained everything we were looking for in a creative story (see below to read Madison’s winning entry).

A huge shoutout to our competition runners up Emily Hudson, who finished in 2nd place, and Courtney Cook, who finished in 3rd place; both had incredible entries.

Finally, we want to say thank you to everyone who entered our competition and showed off their creativity.  Also, a massive thank you to Charlotte Banks (NLTG Tutor) who organized the competition, and what a competition it turned out to be! Keep an eye out on all our social media sites for more exciting competitions.
