NLTG proud to sponsor exciting line-up of community events in 2024!

We are delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring another fantastic line-up of community events in 2024.

A great way to showcase both our commitment to the local community and the opportunities available here at NLTG, including our Apprenticeships and Study Programme courses, events are also a wonderful way to bring our team together as part of our wellbeing initiative.

We will kick things off by sponsoring the Easter egg giveaway at Accrington Stanley in March, for the second year in a row. We had a wonderful time last year handing out eggs to Under 12s at the Wham stadium and we can’t wait to do it all over again on Friday 29^th March, ahead of Stanley’s home game against Morecambe. Don’t forget to come and see our team for an egg and that all important selfie!

Easter time will also see us distribute Easter eggs to local charities and community partners including Maundy Relief, Carers Link Lancashire, Clayton Amateur Boxing Club and the Accrington Stanley Community Trust.

Staying with Accrington Stanley and we are excited to be sponsoring the flags and goodie bags for the club’s big shirt giveaway in September. Taking place for the eighth consecutive year in 2024, we are extremely proud to be involved in such an amazing initiative here in Hyndburn.

Moving into October and we will be sponsoring the #AmazingAccrington Futures Event; an event designed to promote education, careers and training opportunities. We look forward to meeting over 1,000 Year 11 students from Hyndburn secondary schools on Friday 4^th October, as we discuss the fantastic range of opportunities available here at NLTG.

October will also see the return of the spook-tacular #AmazingAccrington Halloween Shop Trail. An event which we have proudly sponsored for the last two years, children from around Hyndburn are invited to visit shops around Accrington with the aim of collecting stamps to win prizes. Not only an enjoyable half-term activity for the youngsters, but a great way to encourage people to #ShopLocal.

Alongside those activities, you will also catch the NLTG team at other events throughout the year including everyone’s favourite… the #AmazingAccrington Soapbox Challenge on Saturday 24^th August, where we are determined to secure first place this time around!

You will also see us at the #AmazingAccrington Food & Culture Festival on Saturday 1^st June including a live cooking demonstration, as well as at the #AmazingAccrington Christmas Light Switch On, taking place on Thursday 28^th November.

Before all that, you will also see our Managing Director Gareth Lindsay speaking at the #AmazingAccrington Education Summit in May, an event hosted to inform and inspire business leaders, schools and education providers.
