NLTG’s Employee of the Year 2020 – Phillip Wardle

NLTG’s 2020 Employee of the Year is Philip Wardle. Phil has worked at NLTG for 3 years and is currently our Building Maintenance Assistant, with responsibility for looking after the upkeep and repair of our buildings in Accrington, Oldham and Bury.

Pictured below is Phil (right) receiving his Employee of the Year trophy from NLTG Managing Director, Gareth Lindsay.

 

Phil was nominated for the award by members of the NLTG management team who commented;

“I find Phil helpful when I need to ask for something to be done. He is always cheery, you can almost always hear his distinctive giddy laugh around the corridors. Nothing is too much for him and he totally has the company interests at the heart of everything that he does.”

“No challenge is too great for this multi-skilled craftsperson; he never ceases to amaze with his vast range of skills and expertise. Phil always undertakes every job with passion and a smile, and always goes the extra mile to find a cost effective solution!”

“The reason for my nomination is his cheerful, supportive and kind disposition.  I have never had anything but a cheery smile from him no matter the time of day or whatever task he is doing.  He always says hello and has some kind words for me. Whenever I have asked him to do a job for me he has always responded positively and completed the work as soon as he possibly can and done an amazing job. An all-round super guy.”

“Phil is fully deserving of his award. He has made a huge impact in his 3 years’ service with NLTG and become a hugely valued member of our team with his infectious laugh and spirit.”
