NLTG are thrilled to announce that our staff have raised £250 for Alzheimer’s Society UK!

The amazing contribution by NLTG staff, was raised at our quarterly team briefing, which was held at Accrington Stanley FC in May, where staff entered a prize draw to win a fabulous luxury hamper.

All proceeds from the raffle contributed towards this generous donation, which will now help Alzheimer’s Society provide life changing services to those affected by the disease.

What is Alzheimer’s?

Alzheimer’s disease is a progressive neurological disorder that primarily affects memory, thinking skills, and eventually the ability to carry out simple tasks. It’s the most common cause of dementia in the UK. Alzheimer’s can prove to be incredibly overwhelming for those directly and indirectly affected by the disease, with each case posing unique and wide-ranging symptoms, all demanding an incredible level of emotional, physical, and psychological care.

What does Alzheimer’s Society do?

Alzheimer’s Society offers a range of support services for those suffering from, and caring for individuals affected by Alzheimer’s, including help with daily living, care and independence, and legal advice. Donations made to the charity go towards helping to provide a range of support as well as to fund research into pioneering new drugs and treatments for the condition.
