Description

As a Manufacturing Apprentice at DSW Optical, you will learn and perform various tasks essential to the production process. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide you with the skills and experience necessary to pursue a career in manufacturing.
• Machine Operation: Learn to operate different types of machinery and equipment used in the optical laboratory.
• Quality Control: Understand and implement quality control measures to ensure products meet specified standards.
• Safety Practices: Follow and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine logs and quality reports.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements

• GCSE's 9-4 in maths and English
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to identify and address issues in the production process.
• Ability to perform basic physical tasks, including standing for extended periods.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
