What is a Traineeship? NLTG Traineeships are pre-Apprenticeship programmes for young people aged 16-18. They involve a high quality work placement with an employer, plus essential employability skills training, to prepare young people for employment, or progression to an Apprenticeship.
How long is a Traineeship? A Traineeship could be planned for a minimum of 8 weeks or up to a maximum of 24 weeks.
What are the benefits? • Get to know and work with a young person to see if they’re right for an Apprenticeship or employment in your company. • Design a training programme that suits the needs of your business and the young person. • Recruit new talent for your business. • Develop your existing employees’ experience in training and mentoring.
What will NLTG provide the trainee? • All work wear and personal protective equipment (PPE). • A weekly allowance during their Traineeship. • Regular reviews to support learner progress. • Full support from a dedicated Traineeship Officer. • Expert information, advice and guidance regarding progression opportunities including Apprenticeships.
