Case Study – Tia Dimario Apprenticeship at Parkin Fabrics Name: Tia Dimario Company: Parkin Fabrics Apprenticeship: Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 After completing a short successful work experience period as a Traineeship learner at Parkin Fabrics, Tia made a fantastic early impression and so progressed onto her Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship, which she has now completed. Tia’s role involves a range of warehousing duties, such as, picking orders, measuring and cutting materials, learning the systems and many more. Tia said, “My NLTG tutor, Craig, has been extremely helpful in bringing me out of my shell, as I was very shy when I joined as a work experience learner. He went above and beyond to adapt my training so that I could understand it as best as I could, and he made an effort to build a positive relationship with me as my tutor. My time with NLTG has been a great experience, from starting on a Traineeship programme to having completed my Apprenticeship and gaining a distinction in my knowledge, which I never thought I would have been able to do before. Apprenticeships are good for learning whilst earning, as well as gaining the work experience whilst still being able to work towards a qualification. They’re also a more secure route to gaining full time employment as you already have a good stable job when you have completed your Apprenticeship.”
