Jonathon is a Hospitality Supervisor at Zippy’s Play World. His job role as a full-time chef consists of opening the kitchen to closing the kitchen and everything in between such as, preparing food to a high-quality standard, completing paperwork, cleaning and much more.

Jonathon chose to do an Apprenticeship because it allows him to work full time whilst learning along the way and gaining a credible qualification at the end. Jonathon’s dedication and hard work has given him the opportunity to progress within Zippy’s Play World, from starting on a Food and Beverages Level 2 Apprenticeship to recently completing his Hospitality Supervisor Level 3 Apprenticeship.

Completing these Apprenticeships has helped him significantly improve his leadership styles and skillset. They have positively affected the way he interacts with staff members, as he now recognises when to use different leadership styles, considers the best learning practices for them as individuals and how problems can best be solved.

One of Jonathon’s favourite parts of his Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeship was completing his End Point Assessment project. It gave him the opportunity to update training resources and identify problems he recognised in the workplace, which helped improve the business, all while showcasing his skills.
