NLTG’s Apprentice of the Year 2022, Bexi Parkin of Parkin Fabrics, has excelled in her Customer Service Level 3 Apprenticeship having recently completed with a Distinction.

Since starting her Apprenticeship, Bexi believes she has learnt a range of new skills, such as, digital skills, using design software to create artwork for social media and more in-depth industry knowledge.

Bexi said, “My NLTG tutor, Lisa, has been very helpful during my Apprenticeship. She always set me a good amount of work that I could handle and made it so that I could understand what I was being asked to do. She was also very kind and easy to talk to. My Apprenticeship as a whole was challenging; however, it has pushed me to reach out of my comfort zone and has helped me to progress in my job role. Overall, it was a positive experience, which I am proud to have completed”.

Bexi enjoys working at Parkin Fabrics and says they have a brilliant team, who all work very well together. She enjoys observing other people carrying out various tasks as it helps her learn from different professionals in the industry, which has also helped her complete her Apprenticeship which was well tailored to suit the needs of the business. When asked what the next step was for Bexi, she said she would love to travel further afield experiencing industry roadshows, whilst still working hard and progressing further at Parkin Fabrics.
