Case Study – Lee Hall Adult Apprenticeship at A&L Furnishing LTD Name: Lee Hall Company: A&L Furnishings LTD Job Role: Wood Machinist Qualifications: L2 Furniture Manufacturer A&L Furnishings Ltd have worked closely with NLTG for many years, so the company proposed to Lee the opportunity to complete the Level 2 Furniture Manufacturer. Lee agreed he would be happy to take on the new training as this would help to expand his prior knowledge of the trade he was already employed in. Since starting his Apprenticeship, Lee now has a better understanding of the machines he works with and has gained a variety of new skills. He has improved on his attention to detail when using quality materials to make bespoke furniture. Lee says that what he enjoyed most about undertaking his Apprenticeship was the interactions between all parties involved including his employer, NLTG and independent assessors. Each have provided essential support and understanding during his qualification, which has assisted Lee in being able to advance key skills appropriate to his job role. It has also helped Lee achieved a distinction grade, which he is extremely proud of. Looking to the future, Lee has goals of progressing further by stepping up to a supervisor role, allowing him to take on more responsibility within the company, as well as continuing to do his job to the best of his ability whilst advancing his skills and developing new knowledge.
