Bend it like Lewis Brewer

Lewis Brewer is an apprentice Glass Processor at Runcorn Glass and Bending. He is currently undertaking a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Glass Processing after completing his Traineeship back in January this year. Due to his proving himself during the Traineeship he secured full time employment at the company.

Runcorn Glass and Bending are one of the country’s leading glass specialists. They specialise in the manufacture of bespoke curved glass, glass bullions, sandblasted glass and glass laminating. These truly are specialised skills and Lewis has picked up the process extremely well. Since starting his Apprenticeship his progression has been exceptional. He is carrying out work that you would only expect to see from a very experienced processor.

The photos shows some glass bending that Lewis has recently completed. To make this piece he had to produce accurate mouldings and bend the glass precisely to the customer’s requirements. This sort of work should be praised especially when he has only been in the industry for 6 months!
