The qualifications are designed to give aspiring and practising team leaders and first line managers a solid foundation in their formal development as a manager. The qualifications can be tailored to meet the needs of your particular industry and are ideal whether you are new to leading a team and want the tools and knowledge to make your team work successfully or are a more experienced manager and want to further develop your management performance.
You’ll receive real-life training from experienced staff within your workplace, and be visited regularly by a specialist NLTG Tutor. Your Tutor will support and guide you throughout your Apprenticeship, making sure you develop the skills needed for your job role. As part of your Apprenticeship, you will need to complete a maths and/or English qualification if you do not already hold these qualifications; the level at which you will study will depend upon your Apprenticeship. You may also need to study an ICT qualification. Your NLTG Tutor will provide you with support and guidance.
• Your training will lead to a nationally recognised qualification. • We have a dedicated team to support you with your English and maths skills. • We operate an equality and diversity policy. • All employers are appraised for health and safety. • We will visit you regularly during your training. • Your training will be full and varied.
As Inspections Supervisor at Head Office I found out about Apprenticeships through speaking to others who were already undertaking Apprenticeships with NLTG. After completing my NVQ Level 3 in Management, I progress to Level 4. Studying these qualifications helped me to become Global Inspections Supervisor, looking after all 6 of the Sofology depots nationwide. I enjoyed the different types of tasks and assignments that were assigned to me, researching the different criteria and also the 1:1 learning aspect of the qualifications. Undertaking an Apprenticeship has helped me to offer advice and support to the depots, while also giving me clarity on a lot of things. It has helped me to become more confident in team management and to develop the thoroughness to see things through.
