Dollys has had a transformation from tearoom to Bar & Grill and is attracting a whole new clientele as well as remaining a firm favourite with existing customers.

Ideally you will have some solid cooking experience behind you, either as an enthusiastic home cook or from work experience, but if not don’t worry, a good knowledge of food and a can-do attitude will go a long way in this role.
At Dollys we also support the Sunnyhurst pub in Darwen creating fabulous handmade pies, pizzas, and bar food for regulars and walkers so you will be working for across both establishments as you progress.

Description

- Hands on learning in the kitchen from hygiene to food preparation and service.
- Assist with the production of high quality, freshly prepared food as directed by the Head Chef.
- Assist with day to day washing up and cleaning as per cleaning schedules and as directed by the Head Chef.
- Helping to ensure that food offer and resultant service facilitates a high quality of customer service.
- Helping to control gross profit by ensuring good portion control and minimising wastage.
- Assisting in the implementation and effective discharge of all relevant statutory requirements within the kitchen department. These include health & safety, food safety and fire safety.

Hours are indicative only and Apprentice will need to be flexible to support the needs of the business.
Any overtime worked will be paid at the hourly rate.
